Frequently Asked Questions
On the restaurant's page, write your review and tap "Add Receipt" below the text box, then snap a photo of your till slip or attach a screenshot of a digital receipt. Make sure the restaurant name, date, and total are readable. Receipts are checked privately and are never shown publicly in full.
"Fully Verified" means the review is backed by a receipt, food photo, and a linked social profile. "Receipt", "Photo", and "Social" show which proof was attached. "Text Only" reviews still count — they just carry less weight. The more you back up your review, the more it helps the restaurant get noticed.
Your review text goes live the moment you post it. Any receipt or food photo you attach goes through a short behind-the-scenes check first, so it stays hidden until it is approved. This usually clears within a few days, and the proof badges appear once it does.
There is no application form. Critics are invited privately from the community's most consistent, well-backed reviewers. Keep posting honest reviews with receipts and photos — that track record is what gets noticed. Read more on The Critics page.
Just be the first to review it. Search for the restaurant on the Discover page — if it isn't listed yet, choose "Add a new spot", fill in the name and address, and submit your first review. That review creates the public listing for everyone else.
"Community Auditing" means reviews are rolling in and building quietly in the background. "Verified" means we have confirmed the spot is a real, operating restaurant. "Critic Dispatched" means the community buzz was strong enough that a vetted critic has been sent to test the spot. "Verified + Reviewed" means the critic's evaluation is complete and the official rating is live on the page.
By design. Exact numbers are never shown — not on restaurant pages and not on your own profile. If scores were visible, they could be farmed and gamed. Instead, everyone sees the same three public statuses, and the checks happen behind the scenes. It keeps the playing field level for every restaurant.
Tap "Forgot Password" on the login screen and enter your registered email. You'll receive a reset link within minutes. For security, reset links expire after 1 hour.
Yes. Go to Account → Settings → Delete Account. This action is permanent and removes your profile and saved preferences. Reviews you posted stay on restaurant pages in anonymised form so listings keep their history — contact support if you want those removed too. We'll send a confirmation email before finalizing.
If a listed restaurant has shut down, open its page and tap "Report" → "Business closed", or send us the restaurant name and area through the contact form below. We'll confirm the closure and archive the listing so nobody wastes a trip.
Use "Report" → "Incorrect details" on the restaurant's page and tell us what's wrong. Corrections are reviewed by our team rather than applied instantly, so a business can't quietly edit its own reputation.
Report the review with "Report" → "Suspicious activity". Our verification system already weighs proof-backed reviews far above anonymous text, and flagged pages get a manual audit. You won't see the outcome directly — but the badges and statuses you see are the ones that survived the checks.
