What we collect

• Account details: your email address and password (stored hashed), and the name you choose at sign-up, which is shown next to your reviews. You can use your first name or a nickname — it does not have to be your full legal name.
• Reviews: the text and star rating you post.
• Proof you choose to attach: a social profile link, a photo of your receipt, or a food photo. All of these are optional.

Why we collect it

Receipts, food photos, and social links exist for one purpose: verifying that reviews come from real visits. Verification runs behind the scenes and is handled by our review team. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.

When you photograph a receipt, the totals, date, and restaurant name are all we need. You are welcome to cover card numbers and any other personal details before uploading.

Who can see what

• Your reviews and food photos (once approved) are public, shown with the name you chose at sign-up.
• Your receipts are never public. They are stored privately and viewed only by our review team, through time-limited access that is logged.
• Your social link is visible to the review team for verification; only your chosen name is shown publicly.

How long we keep it

• Receipts attached to reviews that are not approved are deleted within 90 days.
• Receipts attached to approved reviews are kept while the review stands, and deleted if the review is removed.
• Account details are kept while your account is active.

Your choices

You can ask us to delete your account, anonymize your reviews, or remove specific attachments at any time. Contact us through the support page or email hello@techaslice.com and we will action it.

Where it lives

Data is stored with Supabase (our database and storage provider) and protected with access controls. Bot protection on forms is provided by Cloudflare Turnstile, which may process technical signals from your browser to tell humans from bots.

Some reviews include a linked Instagram post. We store only the link — the post itself is displayed through Instagram's official embed, which loads content directly from Meta. When such a review is on screen, Meta may set cookies or collect technical data from your browser under its own privacy policy.
